Abacus Employment Agency are looking for a End of line operative to work in Andover.
Contract length: This will start as a temporary but there is opportunity to lead to a permanent contract in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure that our all products meet or exceed specification and to communicate effectively when they do not!
- To monitor and record key safety and quality checks around the plant.
- To ensure that all our legal requirements are met for weight control.
Duties
- To ensure that our all products meet or exceed specification and ensure they are communicated when they don’t exceed specification.
- To ensure temperature records are accurate and maintained throughout the plant
- To carry out calibration and process checks of monitoring equipment e.g. metal detectors, temperature probes and gas mixers.
- Obtaining product weight data in line with Trading Standards requirements.
- Checking product labels for accuracy and legality.
- Preparing samples for lab testing and retention.
- Assisting in project work within the technical department.
- Collating, filling, and archiving of QA documentation.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience of a fast moving food distribution environment
- Effective planning and communication skills
- Experience of working effectively within a team
- Reliable and punctual
Hours of work: 07:00-16:00
Pay rate: £12.71
