We have an exciting new opportunity to supply a B1 FLT Operator at Trane UK ltd, a worldwide air-conditioning company in their Basingstoke warehouse. - Valid B1 Licence essential.
You will be working minimum 8 hour days Monday - Friday with an hour unpaid lunch. Start time ranging from 0700.
Plenty of overtime available and on-going/permanent opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- To perform daily tasks in the warehouse & yard for rental department for Goods In & Goods Out with good attention to detail, excellent H&S standards. Working independently at times and working as a team when needed.
- Safely operating counterbalance forklifts with daily pre-checks & maintenance, moving/loading/unloading large heavy cargo including very large air conditioning units. Valid B1 Licence essential. B2 Licence desirable. Experienced at operating forklifts with load capacity of 1,500kg – 15,000kg.
- General housekeeping in the main warehouse & yard
- Stock taking, stock organisation, stock replenishment for Rental Fleet & accessory stock
- To assist & support Parts Warehouse (picking/packing, despatching parts orders, loading/unloading parcel & pallet deliveries, Goods In checking & receiving deliveries onto Oracle system, stock taking, housekeeping).
- To assist with transport bookings, traffic control for HGV’s entering/exiting site & loading areas.
- Following H&S policies, practices, high level standards for Health & Safety with EHS training & talk box, GenSuite training, Manual Handling training, FLT training provided to work within a safe working environment.
Attention to detail is vital for this role, heavy lifting is required, High level H&S Standards must be achieved in the role & working environment.
An ability to move from one area to another from one task to another to prioritise and work at speed to meet deadlines.
Experienced forklift driver with valid B1 licence is essential to this role.
Valid B2 licence or proof of years’ experience operating FLT’s lifting 15,000kg would be a plus.
Own transport desired, due to location
