Abacus are delighted to be recruiting for a Operations Manager with experience to work within a busy team based in a well-known Andover company.
You will be required to work flexibly within a logistical and operational environments ensuring health and safety rules are being adhered to.
Shift times
- Monday – Friday
- 06.00am – 16.00pm
Pay rate
- £36,000 per annum

Objectives
- Management of logistic requirements including fuel usage, budget and maintaining FORS accreditation
- Compliance and incidence management including servicing and maintenance
- Customer orders processed and dispatched with target of 99% delivered on time
- Vehicle checks and records updated
- Follow up late deliveries and case back orders
- Debrief drivers
- Ensure replenishment of all depots are on time and in full
- Conducting 1-2-1’s with employees, running and attend meetings
- Checking completion of order and inventory systems
- Planning and co-ordination of stock movements
Ideal candidate will:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience within a similar role
- FORS Practitioner
- Previous transport leadership experience
- Experience of improving operations including pick accuracy, delivery and cost of operating
- Experience of managing staff
- Extensive knowledge of supply chain management
- Excellent customer service and people skills
