Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our client
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing HR functions across the site. There are a further 7 sites across the UK and the role is very much working as part of a community.
Previous experience in a similar role is desired. The role will be ensuring that the workforce is engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company’s objectives. This position requires a strong understanding of HR practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyse data effectively to support strategic decision-making.
Duties
- Oversee the recruitment process, including managing applicant tracking systems on Workday.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that comply with legal requirements and best practices.
- Working primarily as a stand alone HR person on site, reporting directly to the Thatcham Plant Manager.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing support and mediation as necessary to maintain a positive workplace environment.
- Facilitate training programs and professional development initiatives to enhance employee skills and career growth.
- Maintain accurate records within the Human Resources Information System relating to sickness and absence management.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, presenting information clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Skills
- Proficiency in using HR software such as Workday.
- Ideally you will be CIPD level 5 or have relevant experience.
- Opportunities to support CIPD learning are available.
- Strong data analysis skills to interpret HR metrics and inform decision-making processes.
- In-depth knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting ideas clearly and engagingly.
- Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
